Introducing the Kailo PowerBox

Portable & Integrated Home Battery Backup

NO NEED FOR EXTENSION CORDS

KEEP USING YOUR LIGHTS AND POWER OUTLETS

NO NEED TO MOVE AROUND THE FRIDGE OR TV

What can it power?

The Kailo PowerBox is designed to power your “essentials” for a few hours, enough time to outlast the average US power outage time. It’s powering capacity can, however, be increased by chaining together expansion battery packs and/or using solar panels.

Appliance Watts Per Hour Duration
Refrigerator Average 200 Watts per hour About 7 Hours
5 LED Lights Average 50 watts per hour About 30 hours
TV Average 100 watts per hour About 15 hours
Laptop Computer Average 40 watts per hour About 37 Hours
Floor Fan Average 70 Watts per hour About 21 Hours
Refrigerator + 5 LED Lights Average 250 watts per hour About 6 Hours
Refrigerator + 5 LED Lights + TV Average 350 watts per hour About 4 Hours
Everything listed above Average 460 watts per hour About 3 Hours

NOTE: These are only general estimates. You may get more or less power time as every device is different and will use different amounts of power. Power times will also vary depending on how many items are powered at once. In emergency situations we recommend only powering 300 watts per hour or less to allow 5 hours of charge.

How the Kailo PowerBox works

The Kailo PowerBox has a portable battery and docking station that is integrated into your homes circuit breaker panel.

Three circuits from your home, of your choosing, are looped through the unit. If the grid goes out, the PowerBox senses this automatically and routes power to the 3 circuits through the battery. This way your fridge, lights, and whatever else you’ve chosen can stay powered in an outage, even if you’re not home.

Battery Unit

The Battery unit is 1500w with a 2000w pure sine-wave inverter. It’s enough energy to keep your essentials powered for a few hours before a recharge is needed.

The unit weighs about 50 lbs, though not light, it’s certainly portable and allows you to take power with you on the go in an emergency, road trips, RV’s, camping, tailgating, etc…

Powering
Plug your portable electronics in using the 4 standard 110V outlets, 4 USB ports, and 2, 12V “cigarette lighter” ports.

Charging
Need to fill up the battery while on the go? You can plug it into any 110V outlet with the supplied plug. You can also use solar panels…portable smaller panels plug into the front, or you can plug larger panels into the fast charging rear port and bring in up to 500 Watts per hour.

Docking Station

The Docking Station is installed and tied into your home’s ciruit breaker panel by a professional, certified electrician.

The docking station accepts up to 3, 15amp circuits that you loop through the unit. Most people choose circuits that include their refrigerator, a bank of lights, and some power outlets in their home.

Automatically Senses an Outage
When the battery is docked, the unit uses an Auto Transfer Switch that sense if the electricity from the grid goes out. When that occurs it instantly switches power from the 3 chosen circuits to come from the battery.

Charging
The docking station can be tied into your grid power to constantly be recharging the battery (when docked) and when the power is on. If you have solar panels, a bank of these can also be routed through the docking station to the battery for fast recharging (up to 1000 Watts per hour)
